The Bountiful Redhawks will square off against the Brighton Bengals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Bountiful will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Viewmont, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Redhawks put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 10-2 victory on Friday. That eight-run margin sets a new team best for the Redhawks this season.

Quintin Garff looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brighton). They blew past Woods Cross 13-7 on Friday. With that win, the Bengals brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Brighton also got a great performance from Silas Smith as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Smith has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Oliver Pohlman was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Hayes Raulston was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Brighton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Brighton's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4. As for Bountiful, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6.
Bountiful came out on top in a nail-biter against Brighton when the teams last played back in March of 2022, sneaking past 9-7. Will the Redhawks repeat their success, or do the Bengals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
