Hubbard has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Dawson Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hubbard will be strutting in after a win while Dawson will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Hubbard has not done well against Riesel recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Hubbard took down Riesel 51-36.
Meanwhile, Dawson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 49-45 to Bremond.
Hubbard is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Dawson, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.
Hubbard was dealt a bruising 60-32 loss at the hands of Dawson in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Hubbard, E'maree Johnson (who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
