Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-17, which was the final score in Kerr-Vance Academy's tilt against Faith Christian on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kerr-Vance Academy has scored all season.
The losing side was boosted by Rakia Terry, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Halifax Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
Tuesday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy game: Halifax Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 26.9 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Kerr-Vance Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 23.7 rebounds per game. Given Halifax Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, Kerr-Vance Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
