Enzo Ferrero and Max Cho were among the main playmakers for Westfield as the former picked up 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns and the latter threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes.
Another reason for the win was Westfield's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Maxwell Romano and Zac Wragg who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Clifton fell victim to Union City's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They suffered a tough 21-0 loss at the hands of the Soaring Eagles. Clifton just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Clifton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
