Kansas Game of the Week: 4A #1 Andale at 4A #2 Andover Central
It's a battle between the top two teams in Class 4A.
Andale will take its quest for another state title on the road to Andover Central. Last season Andale won handily, 41-6.
Junior Jayden Bird rushed for 154 yards and three scores on just 14 carries last week in a 45-7 victory over Winfield. Bird is regarded as one of the bestdefensive players in Kansas. Blaine Crouch produced another eye-popping statistic in the victory with 130 yards on just four carries, including one touchdown.
Quarterback Bret Macari leads the way for the visitors. Last week in a 27-6 victory over Augusta, Macari threw for 221 yards and tossed two touchdowns. Corey Harp is a home run threat at running back for the Indians.

6A #2 Shawnee Mission West at 6A #4 Olathe South
Olathe South snapped a six-game losing streak to Olathe East last week and is sitting at 2-0. Mike Keese leads the way for Olathe South, passing for 573 yards thus far on the season. Junior Jake Byrd leads the Falcons with 187yards rushing in two games. Quarterback Alex Carder leads the charge for Northwest. Carder has passed for 187 yards and rushed for 117 in two games. Running back Alex Reed averages 121.5 yards per game this season and has three rushing scores.
Wichita Northwest at 5A #4 Wichita Carroll
Chris Harper has been the man for Wichita Northwest. The quarterback has rushed for 295 yards already this season and is widely considered thetop athlete in the entire state. Demarcus Robinson is another running threat for Northwest. Senior Dustin Moses completed all eight of his passing attempts in a week two victory over Wichita North. Brett Steven is featured along with Moses in Carroll's two-quarterback system.
