Cartersville is 9-1 against Woodland since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Cartersville Hurricanes will head out on the road to  face off against  the Woodland Wildcats at 6:00  p.m. Cartersville will be strutting in after a  win while Woodland will be coming in after a  loss.
 Even though Cartersville has not done well against Calhoun recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Wednesday. Cartersville snuck past Calhoun with a  41-36 win. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Cartersville.
 Cartersville's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Taff Bradley, who  scored 16 points along with five  rebounds. Bradley continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Ansley Griffin, who  scored 11 points along with five  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Woodland's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Dalton, falling  63-22. Woodland has not had much luck with Dalton recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
 Cartersville is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Woodland, they now  have a losing record at 7-8.
 Everything came up roses for Cartersville against Woodland in their previous matchup  back in February of 2023 as the  team secured a  53-21 victory. Does  Cartersville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Woodland turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
