Two dominant guards in Carson Fayard and Faith Durden are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Niceville Eagles just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Chiles Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Niceville comes in on six and Chiles on three.
Pace typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Niceville proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 42-33 win over the Patriots.
Anna Kimball and Fayard were among the main playmakers for Niceville as the former dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Fayard hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiyah Hatcher, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Chiles beat Maclay 46-35 on Saturday.
Niceville pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Chiles, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Niceville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Chiles in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, but they still walked away with a 41-37 win. Will Niceville repeat their success, or does Chiles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
