The Wilson Hall Barons will be playing at home against the John Paul II Golden Warrriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. John Paul II took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wilson Hall, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Wilson Hall strolled past Heathwood Hall Episcopal with points to spare, taking the game 47-28.
Dylan Jones went supernova for Wilson Hall, rushing for 243 yards and six touchdowns on only 15 carries. Jones' longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Van patten, who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
Meanwhile, John Paul II had to suffer through a rough 51-3 loss at the hands of Hilton Head Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, John Paul II can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Hilton Head Christian Academy is ranked 99th).
Wilson Hall is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for John Paul II, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Everything came up roses for Wilson Hall against John Paul II in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 35-8 win. Will Wilson Hall repeat their success, or does John Paul II have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
