The Wichita County Indians put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 62-32 victory over Dighton. Wichita County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Dighton saw an underclassman step up: Rielly James scored 11 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Carlie Speer, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Wichita County pushed their record up to 15-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dighton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Wichita County will head out on the road to face off against Sublette at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wichita County is facing Sublette at the right time seeing as Sublette is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Dighton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Western Plains at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Dighton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
