They took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Porter's Chapel Academy. Prairie View Academy has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Despite the loss, Prairie View Academy still got an impressive performance from Tollan Wallace, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wallace has scored all season. Abram Anthony was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Prairie View Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season. As for Porter's Chapel Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie View Academy and River Oaks will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. River Oaks is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Porter's Chapel Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Hillcrest Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hillcrest Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
