Plano lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Josie Larson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Nylah Mathews was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Johnsburg's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Plano, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnsburg will take on the Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Illinois (Woodstock is ranked 361st, while the Skyhawks are ranked 367th). As for Plano, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Cogs at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Genoa-Kingston is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
