Brayden Myovela Turns in Season-Best Effort
Maize was led to victory by Brayden Myovela, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Myovela rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Maize's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. Myovela and Maize will take on Valley Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Arieus Finley Turns in Another Game with at Least 116 Rushing Yards
On Friday, Derby got the W thanks in part to Arieus Finley playing the best football he has all season. Finley's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 116 rushing yards.
The win for Derby keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Finley and Derby will be playing at home against Maize South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
