South Stokes waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Bishop McGuinness Villains with a sharp 9-1 victory. The Sauras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Kiptyn Middleton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tucker Monday, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Reid Tilley, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

South Stokes' win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Bishop McGuinness, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Stokes will welcome South Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.44 runs per game on average), something the Sauras will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bishop McGuinness, they will be playing at home against Chatham Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
