When it comes to explaining why Cornerstone Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isaac Glinski. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 55.1% of Cornerstone Christian's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. P.J. Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calvary Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pier Mancin, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Martin Malual, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Calvary Baptist, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 24-4.
Cornerstone Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calvary Baptist, they and Geffen Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Calvary Baptist is coming into the match with 11 straight wins at home, so Geffen Academy is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
