The Crofton Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Battle Creek. If Crofton was looking for revenge after losing 62-56 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braxston Foxhoven, who scored 14 points. Trevor Allen was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Crofton has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Battle Creek, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Crofton will be playing at home against the on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family is ranked 161st, while the Warriors are ranked 154th). As for Battle Creek, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Bluejays at 11:45 a.m. on February 3rd. Guardian Angels Central Catholic is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
