Trinity (Euless, Texas) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 24-6 victory over
Marcus (Flower Mound, Texas) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Jose Martinez in the second quarter, the Trojans led 10-0 at the half.
Trinity expanded its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. THS's lone score in the quarter came on a
Raymond Bolden touchdown pass to
Jason Reese.
Reese played well for the Euless school in the victory. The senior tight end caught two touchdowns.
The Marauders'
Ryan Everett played well. The senior tight end caught one touchdown.
Marcus' lone touchdown came on a 2-yard pass from
Wyatt Verret to Everett in the fourth quarter.
The Trojans had given up an average of 15.3 points prior to the contest. MHS's six points were well below its season average of 19.6 per game.
The loss comes after Marcus defeated Hebron 27-10 last week. The loss snapped the Flower Mound school's 2-game winning streak.
