The Heath Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Portsmouth West Senators with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Heath walked away with a 27-15 victory over Portsmouth West on Friday.
Several Senators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Parker, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Jeffery Bishop, who picked up 109 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Heath's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-2. As for Portsmouth West, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.
Heath will face off against Ironton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ironton is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games. Portsmouth West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
