Skye Kirby and Kylea Wallace did most of the damage at the plate: Kirby went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs, while Wallace scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Wallace a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Tiffner, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Nocona always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chico only posted an OBP of .360.
Nocona is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
