The Wasatch Academy Tigers lost against the American Prep WV Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Wasatch Academy was beaten by American Prep WV 41-13. Wasatch Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
American Prep WV got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nicole Tran out in front who scored 11 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Tran grabbed two or more steals. Leticia Calderon was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Wasatch Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for American Prep WV, they pushed their record up to 4-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Wasatch Academy will head out on the road to square off against Intermountain Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Intermountain Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 two weeks ago. As for American Prep WV, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rockwell at 7:00 p.m. Rockwell is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
