In what's become a running theme this season, the Richmond Raiders gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lee County as Richmond made off with a 68-44 victory. The win was familiar territory for Richmond who now have five in a row.
Richmond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamyia "Juicy" Lindsey, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lindsey has scored all season. Jasiah "JoJo" Gilchrist was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight steals.
Richmond's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Lee County, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richmond won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pine Forest at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. Hopefully Pine Forest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Saturday. As for Lee County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scotland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Scotland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lee County in North Carolina (Scotland is ranked 141st, while Lee County is ranked 313th).
