The Pennridge Rams will head out to square off against the Quakertown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pennridge's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Quakertown's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Pennridge is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Pennsbury just ended the team's 11-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 7-6.
Pennridge got a good showing from TJ McGuigan, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. McGuigan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ascher Hamburg was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Robinson, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Quakertown didn't have quite enough to beat Souderton on Monday and fell 5-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost five in a row.
Quakertown saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Tucholski, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
Pennridge's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Quakertown, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Pennridge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Quakertown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Pennridge beat Quakertown 8-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
