Even though the South River Rams scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, the Sayreville Bombers still came out on top. Sayreville strolled past South River with points to spare, taking the game 76-58. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sayreville also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.
When it comes to explaining why South River lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Grospe. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Torres, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Sayreville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for South River, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Sayreville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South River also has no future games currently scheduled.
