2A District 8 recap November 19, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A District 8 this week, Northlake Christian beat Redemptorist 49-14. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Wolverines.
Archbishop Hannan took down Westminster Academy 61-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Korey Zeigler threw for 125 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 84 yards in the win.
The Hawks' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Michael Froeba chipped in 167 yards. Kyle Sewald helped Archbishop Hannan's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 46 yards.

Pat lambert's team's Zeigler and Hollander have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Zeigler has thrown for 1,373 yards this season, while Hollander has 37 catches for 583 yards. Pine's Derrick Dillon leads the league in rushing yards with 1,927.
The Hawks' Froeba needs only 49 yards against Pope John Paul II next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Froeba has rushed for 951 yards on 141 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in 2A District 8 this week will be when Archbishop Hannan takes on the Jaguars. At the moment, the Hawks are in second, while Pope John Paul II is in third.
Archbishop Hannan led the league in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on Westminster Academy. Zeigler ran for 84 yards during the win.
