The Cocalico Eagles extended their postseason success on Friday against the Ephrata Mountaineers. They strolled past the Mountaineers with points to spare, taking the game 23-9. Winning may never get old, but Cocalico sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
Aaryn Longenecker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also picking up 46 receiving yards. Longenecker is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Cocalico has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 12-1 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.17 points. As for Ephrata, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2.
Cocalico will face off against Peters Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Peters Township will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Ephrata does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
