In what's become a running theme this season, the West Fork Tigers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 77-57 margin over Green Forest. Given West Fork's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Green Forest is ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayden Compton, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Hesten Maybee, who scored 17 points.
Even though they lost, Green Forest were working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. This was only their 14th loss (out of 19 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
West Fork has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Green Forest, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Fork will take on Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Green Forest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Springs is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
