Attica and Pembroke are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Attica Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Pembroke Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Attica couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Perry by a score of 52-50.
Meanwhile, Pembroke came up short against Oakfield-Alabama on Thursday and fell 47-36. Pembroke has struggled against Oakfield-Alabama recently, as their contest on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jayden Hootman, who scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elle Peterson, who scored six points.
Pembroke struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Attica's record now sits at 0-1. Pembroke's record is now 3-2.
Attica came up short against Pembroke when the teams last played back in January, falling 48-44. Can Attica avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
