The Alta Loma Braves will head out on the road to square off against the St. Paul Swordsmen at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Alta Loma is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Salazar, who fired off two home runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabella Galindo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Alta Loma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as El Rancho only posted an OBP of .261.
Meanwhile, St. Paul was able to grind out a solid win over Bishop Amat on Thursday, taking the game 6-1.
Gianelle Napoles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits.
On the hitting side, Kailee Mejia was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Sunni Vasquez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Alta Loma's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for St. Paul, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Alta Loma hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like St. Paul struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
