Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 51-39 to the Fayette Falcons. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
Fayette found their leader in sophomore Blake Braden, who went 8-for-10 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Braden has scored all season. Colten Cross was another key player, shooting 46% from the field en route to 18 points.
Community's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Fayette, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Coming up, Community will take on Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fayette, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 41-39 loss against Sturgeon on the 10th.
