Dunbar is 0-3 against Friendship Collegiate Academy since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Dunbar Crimson Tide will be staying on the road to face off against the Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights at 3:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Dunbar had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against Ballou on Thursday as Dunbar made off with a 28-7 win.
Meanwhile, Friendship Collegiate Academy faced Woodson in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Friendship Collegiate Academy claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over Woodson on the road. Winning may never get old, but Friendship Collegiate Academy sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Brenton Toles, who threw for 142 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Their wins bumped Dunbar to 9-2 and Ballou to 6-6.
Dunbar came up short against Friendship Collegiate Academy when the teams last played back in August, falling 19-6. Can Dunbar avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
