Salisbury School scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Kent School, 21-14. At the time, Kent School was ranked third in the state, while the Crimson Knights were 31st.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Salisbury School, who took down third ranked Todd Marble's team, 21-14. Austin Whipple threw for 147 yards and one touchdown and ran for 74 yards in the win.
Chris Phelps 's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Shawahl Abdur-Rahman chipped in 127 yards. Nick Weston helped Salisbury School's passing attack out by catching three balls for 59 yards.
Dwayne Scott was the best wideout in Erickson this week as the Crimson Knights bested Kent School. Scott tallied five receptions for 64 yards.
Taft's Tim Drakeley and Alex Huard have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Drakeley has thrown for 1101 yards this season, while Huard, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 25 catches for 557 yards. Abdur-Rahman from Salisbury School leads the league in rushing with 521 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Crimson Knights take on Brunswick. Salisbury School is currently in first, while the Bruins are in sixth.
The Crimson Knights extended the longest winning streak in Erickson this week by beating Kent School, 21-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
