On Friday, Lake Brantley needed a bit of extra time to put away Horizon. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Hawks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rylin Sprague, who went 4-for-5 with two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Catharine Conway, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Foundation Academy came out on top against Olympia on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Lions walked away with a 10-5 win over the Titans. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won four in a row.
Foundation Academy let Riley Winters and Katherine Johnson run wild. Winters went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Johnson went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Ozim, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.
Foundation Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Foundation Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Lake Brantley, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lake Brantley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367. However, it's not like Foundation Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
