The Canton Warriors lost against the Northeast Bradford Panthers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Canton fell 57-50 to Northeast Bradford. While losing is never fun, Canton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 623rd, while Northeast Bradford is ranked 270th).
When it comes to explaining why Canton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ben Fitch. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Brayden Vroman, who scored six points.
Canton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Northeast Bradford, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome North Penn-Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Northeast Bradford will take on Sayre at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
