Baseball Recap: Mechanicsburg Has No Trouble Against Southeastern Local

Mechanicsburg not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17th (when they won 19-0). They put the hurt on the Southeastern Local Trojans with a sharp 14-2 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Colton Salyers looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Conner Eyink was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Crew Lafary, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

Mechanicsburg's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Southeastern Local, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Mechanicsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southeastern Local, they will venture away from home to take on Catholic Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans are facing the Irish at the right time seeing as the Irish are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
