Wilsonville got a 78 - 45 win over Crater last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Nathan Overholt. Overholt tossed the ball for 438 yards and six TDs. In fact, our algorithms singled out Overholt as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
The clash of the power ranking titans last week was between Central Catholic (12th in the power rankings) and Tualatin (13th). Central Catholic battled it out with Tualatin for a well-earned 28 - 21 overtime win. Despite Central Catholic's victory, the team was passed up by other teams in the power rankings and gave up one spot in the rankings.
Movin on Up
Mountain View has been an offensive powerhouse for ten straight weeks after the team lit up the scoreboard again last week. Everything went its way against Squalicum as it secured a 42 - 0 win. Mountain View did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps state rankings indicated. Its success was rewarded with a seven-spot boost in the power rankings, the biggest improvement of any team.
