St. Michael had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-8 to make it four. They fell just short of the Ganado Hornets by a score of 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cardinals have suffered since March 20th.

Denea Livingston put in work no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Shannon Paul made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Rhyley Meyers was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
As for Ganado, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-13. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games.
On Ganado's side, Shawntaya Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered eight earned runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Anisa Esparza was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Alaiya Begay, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Coming up, St. Michael will square off against Pinon at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. Ganado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
