Softball Recap: Brantley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Goshen

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brantley). Everything went their way against the Goshen Eagles on Monday as they made off with a 19-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Brantley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-11. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Goshen, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brantley will head out to face off against Pike Liberal Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.62 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Goshen, they are taking a road trip to take on Highland Home at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
