Even though the Immaculate Mustangs have not done well against the Notre Dame Catholic Lancers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Immaculate came out on top in a nail-biter against Notre Dame Catholic and snuck past 49-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for Immaculate.
Immaculate found their leader in underclassman Kendra Foy, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Foy has scored at least 25% of Immaculate's points. Jenna Saidman was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Immaculate now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Notre Dame Catholic, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Immaculate will finish 2023 at home by hosting New Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame Catholic will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Trumbull at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
