Spain Park added to the longest winning streak in 6A Region 4 this week by beating Thompson, 28-17. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Prattville was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Lions defeated Stanhope Elmore 35-0 earlier in the week.
Mickey Forrest threw for 272 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 17-29 with 1 interception.
Otis Harris was the best receiver in the league this week as Spain Park defeated the Warriors. Harris racked up 4 receptions for 95 yards. Dalton Brown helped Spain Park's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 85 yards.
Leading 6A Region 4 in both passing and receiving yards, Shawn Raney's team's Forrest and Harris have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Forrest has thrown for 1,213 yards this season, while Harris has 30 catches for 373 yards. Prattville's Kamryn Pettway leads the league in rushing yards with 595.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Chad Anderson's team takes on Pelham. The Lions are currently in third, while the Panthers are in second.
Pelham and Wetumpka played the closest game in the league this week, with Pelham eventually emerging with a 41-38 victory.
