There's no place like home for Uwharrie Charter Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past the Eastern Randolph Wildcats 16-1 on Friday. Considering the Eagles have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Reece Thompson was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Victoria Jennings, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Uwharrie Charter Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Uwharrie Charter Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Eastern Randolph, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
