The Weber Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Davis Darts at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weber has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Weber saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came up short against Sky View, falling 12-4. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Weber saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raegan Blaisdell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Davis). They were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over Farmington on Friday. The Darts have beaten the Phoenix the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Phoenix has come to flipping the script.
Serena Roth was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Roth was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Davis got a massive performance out of Riley Jaques, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Jaques has posted since back in May of 2025. Cambell Christensen was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Davis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Davis' record is now 18-4. As for Weber, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Weber hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Davis struggles in that department as they've averaged .378. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Weber suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Davis when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
