Crest is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Dudley is on a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Crest Chargers will take on the Dudley Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Crest walked away with it. They slipped by the Lions 30-29 on Friday.
Crest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ny?tavious Huskey led the charge by throwing for 203 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Adams, who picked up 116 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Dudley can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Robinson 50-28. Dudley's win was all the more impressive since Robinson was averaging only 11.31 points allowed on the season.
It was another big night for Andrew Attmore II, who threw for 378 yards and eight touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt. Attmore II hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games. Nasir Newkirk was another key contributor, picking up 126 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Crest to 13-0 and West Charlotte to 9-4.
We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as Crest and Dudley have no problem gaining yardage. Crest has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 460.3 total yards per game. However, it's not like Dudley struggles in that department as they've been even better at 516.5 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them. Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other football content.
