Lucerne Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Derrick Tyler, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Anthony Navarro who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him.
San Jacinto Leadership Academy was led to victory by Ezra Olguin and Eric McWright. Olguin scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while McWright scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jake Gagnepain, who scored six points.
Lucerne Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
