Jefferson is 8-2 against Chamberlain since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Jefferson Dragons will head out on the road to challenge the Chamberlain Storm at 6:30 p.m. Jefferson is hoping to put an end to an 18-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Jefferson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-43 to Alonso. Jefferson has not had much luck with Alonso recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Chamberlain scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 39-26 victory over Freedom. That looming 39-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Chamberlain yet this season.
Chamberlain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but K'mari Johnson led the charge by scoring 15 points. That's the first time this season that Johnson scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Dejesus, who scored 11 points.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Chamberlain, their victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.
Jefferson strolled past Chamberlain in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 33-16. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jefferson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
