After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hazel Green, Gadsden City was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 47-37 victory over the Huffman Vikings. The Titans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Gadsden City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mariah Ragland, who posted 11 points. That's the most points Ragland has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Whiteside, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points and six assists.

The victory snapped Gadsden City's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-9 record. As for Huffman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Gadsden City and Pell City will face off at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Considering Pell City has lost three straight at home and Gadsden City seven straight on the road (dating back to last season), this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum. As for Huffman, they will take on Shades Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
