The Community Baptist Christian Kings had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Springfield Christian Academy 49-30 on Tuesday.
Community Baptist Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kade Hunt out in front who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kendall Williams, who scored 13 points.
Community Baptist Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Springfield Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Baptist Christian will take on Juniata Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Juniata Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. Springfield Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lakecrest Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th.
