Mount View is 10-0 against Montcalm since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mount View Golden Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Montcalm Generals at 6:45 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Mount View is ranked 96th, while Montcalm is ranked 106th).
Last Friday, Mount View lost to Bluefield at home by a decisive 68-49 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Matthias Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Zion Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Montcalm had to suffer through a rough 76-25 loss at the hands of James Monroe. Montcalm was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-7.
Mount View's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Montcalm, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Mount View was able to grind out a solid victory over Montcalm in their previous meeting last Thursday, winning 40-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
