Riverview is 0-9 against Jeannette since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Riverview Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Jeannette Jayhawks at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Riverview came into Tuesday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Leechburg 64-27 at home.
Springdale typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Jeannette proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Dynamos by a score of 63-50.
Jeannette's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Markus McGowan led the charge by scoring 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Sunder, who scored ten points.
Riverview's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Jeannette, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
Riverview was taken down by Jeannette 72-39 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Riverview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
