The Amanda-Clearcreek Aces just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Southeastern Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on December 23rd. Amanda-Clearcreek is hoping to put an end to a 14-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Friday, Amanda-Clearcreek was beaten by Liberty Union 70-36. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Amanda-Clearcreek in their matchups with Liberty Union: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, Southeastern struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Tuesday (Unioto was 27% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. The matchup between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Southeastern falling 49-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points they have scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Carter Fisher, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Gage Cheadle, who scored four points.
Amanda-Clearcreek's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Southeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Amanda-Clearcreek strolled past Southeastern when the teams last played back in December of 2017 by a score of 82-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Amanda-Clearcreek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
