Chicago Marshall came out on top against Dyett by a score of 54-47 on Tuesday. Given Chicago Marshall's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Dyett is ranked 408th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chicago Marshall found their leader in underclassman Janiyah Green, who scored 22 points. The matchup was Green's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chamarre Scott, who scored six points along with 15 rebounds and five blocks.
Chicago Marshall's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. As for Dyett, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Chicago Marshall is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Berwyn/Cicero Morton at 11:45 a.m. on December 26th. As for Dyett, they will take on Orr at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Orr focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
