Foundation Academy and Cornerstone Charter Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Foundation Academy Lions will be playing at home against the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Foundation Academy comes in on three and Cornerstone Charter Academy on five.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foundation Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Nichols, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 19 points along with eight assists and five boards. The contest was Nichols' 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Riley Michels, who went 7 for 11 en route to 21 points in addition to seven blocks and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Cornerstone Charter Academy rose to the challenge on Monday. They really took it to the Explorers for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-37 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 54-20.
Cornerstone Charter Academy's win came from a few key players Foundation Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Devan Domadia, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 18 points. He has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Wood, who went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points and five steals.
Cornerstone Charter Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.9 points per game. As for Foundation Academy, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Foundation Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Cornerstone Charter Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Foundation Academy against Cornerstone Charter Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as the squad secured a 51-24 victory.
